I heard you don't get this beauty in the land of free, what do you think about it?

Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Isn't it the sexiest wagon of them all?

I'm not in the US, so can I still answer? I hate it. Apart from being called a 'shooting brake' even though it's no such thing, I think it looks really, truly, absolutely awful. Every time I look at it a little bit of vomit comes up at the back of my mouth.

I'd say it's not only the ugliest car Mercedes have ever produced, but also the worst-looking car any manufacturer has produced since Toyota stopped making the Yaris Verso.

The regular E Class estate isn't necessarily a great looking car, but it's smartly handsome.

The CLS literally looks like an E-class that was left in the sun too long and melted.

Fat, frumpy, ugly, overweight, overpriced, pompous, sedative and too slow.

No it is not.

A first-generation CLS version might have, but the second-generation's cancerous rear-fender bulge gets distended here to make this look fat-assed. Or maybe dad put on its diaper — and you know how dad isn't very good at it so it ends up looking huge and low-hanging and about to slide off.

Also, the rear-3/4 view shows especially how the stretched DLO just makes the back look bulbous and melty.

Sorry, but you asked.

A first-gen CLS shooting brake might have been gorgeous, but alas they didn't make one, so the CTS-V will just have to carry the torch a while longer.

I don't know about whether it is the ugliest car ever , but it is pretty awful. The back end is so distended and saggy. The proportions of the car are all wrong, from the perceived scale created by the cutlines along the side to the thousands of different angles happening as the car tries to resolve everything that is happening past the rear axle. Is it possible to have a more ungainly rear overhang? Oh wait...

Amongst cars that look just like they were pooed out by elephants, few have a more ungainly rear end. The X6 comes close, though.
